Lesley McDowall

Lesley McDowall is a teacher whose career has taken her from Drama to English and Special Needs.

She creates fantasy worlds where young adult readers can experience the excitement
of adventure while recognising the pressures being a young person in today’s society can bring.

More recently, she has created the Fae world of Elyndra, with its realms of Seelie and Unseelie seasonal courts, where adults too can escape into stories of adventure, magic, conflict and love.

Lesley lives in Glastonbury, Somerset. She trained in Drama at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama before completing a B.Ed and later a Master’s degree at the University of Wales.

When she isn’t writing, planning or editing, she can usually be found creating videos about her worlds and characters, updating everything, or spending time with cats, who have a habit of finding their way into her novels.
