José Chamoso

José was a student of Bill’s in the UK over 30 years ago. Since then, they have worked together and visit each other and their respective families in both Spain and the UK. They love to walk, talk, explore new environments, and chat with anyone they meet.

José is fascinated by nature, which he frequently enjoys by hiking and cycling. He loves connecting any situation of everyday life with maths. That has been one of the main topics on which José has given lectures in Latin America, mainly Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru and Colombia.

A few years ago, Bill and José received a message from a farm requesting suggestions about maths-related activities for the children who visited it. They happily did. Later, they spoke with María who also loved to discover the beauty of mathematics, and between the three completed the book “Maths on the Farm”.
